First week

We are off to a great start: New principal, Mr. Reynoso New teacher in kindergarten, fists and third grade this year at the school. Jedadiah has a new teacher, Sra. Sanchez. He came home the first day saying she is awesome. I pray God's blessings upon his school year. Samara is wil Srta. Gonzalez, who has taught dual first grade for the previous two years. Samara said he loves school and that Sra. Gonzalez is very nice and really tall. Samara has had homework this week: one handout of math and fluency reading. Her first day she read 24 wpm and improved each day.

Mrs. Willis is leaving HGA and moving to the district to begin parent university programs for all the cnusd schools. We are sad to see her go.
At the opening ceremony,  she introduced her replacement ,  Sr. Reynoso. He is a seasoned principal,  familiar with dual and from Corona. He is bilingual and seems to be gentle and loving. We anticipate an awesome school year.
This morning, the second day of school,  I saw Mr. Reynoso helping with the drop - off traffic. It was awesome to see him outside interacting with parents and students.
